Four High School Lacrosse Teams are Boston Strong

The Grafton, Westborough, Northbridge and Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School varsity boys teams will play a doubleheader May 17.

Four local high school boys varsity lacrosse teams will team up on Friday to support the Boston Marathon tragedy victims.

The Westborough, Grafton, Northbridge and Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School teams will play a doubleheader starting at 5 p.m. Friday, May 17 at Grafton High's Kevin Vulter Field, organizers said in a press release.

Donations collected at the gate will go to The One Fund Boston on the teams' behalf.

The teams will wear "Boston Strong" stickers on their helmets, organizers said.

"This event was conceived by the Northbridge High School boys lacrosse team as their annual community service project and has quickly grown into an event supported by three other schools," organizers said.

Grafton will play Westborough at 5 p.m. Northbridge will play Blackstone Valley at 7 p.m.

Grafton, Northbridge and Westborough youth lacrosse players will have two half-time exhibition matches.

Junior varsity games also will be held at Grafton High: Grafton will play Westborough at 3:30 p.m. Northbridge will play Blackstone Valley at 5 p.m.
