GCTV's "Television Classics With Jim Gallagher" Highlights Early Days Of Television

GRAFTON: Grafton Community Television continues to remember the early days of network television with its program "Television Classics With Jim Gallagher."

"Television Classics" is a series of half hour shows, produced by GCTV's Bob DeToma, featuring primarily black and white programs from the earliest days of commercial television in the late 1940's, 1950's and early 1960's. Gallagher introduces each program with detailed historical and sometimes whimsical information about who appeared in the program and when it ran on TV. The first episode of GCTV 's Television Classics was created in late August of 2013. Now in its fourth calendar year of production, at Episode 80 through 84, these "new" shows feature clips from the Green Hornet, Mr. Ed, McHale's Navy, Let's Make A Deal, Dennis The Menace and The Munsters.
