Avid Snowplower, Great-Great Grandmother: Gone but not Forgotten

Doris B. Scobie, 95, formerly of North Grafton passed away April 9, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband David Scobie who died in 1984.
She is survived by her four daughters, Gail Adams of Spencer, MA, Diane Rambadt and her husband Steve of Hilliard, OH, Beverly Kellum and Linda Franza of Florida; eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was born in Milford, CT on August 9, 1916, daughter of the late Eva (Rocheleau) and Ralph C. Goss.

The calling hours occured last night at . A Funeral Mass will be held today, Friday April 13 at 11 a.m. at 17 Waterville St. N. Grafton MA 01536. She will then be laid to rest with her husband at Riverside Cemetery in Grafton. All attending the funeral Mass are politely requested to go directly to the church.
James E. "Tiny" Freeman, 59, passed away April 10, 2012 following an illness.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Freeman, daughter Tina Freeman, sons Louie, Joe and John Francks, brothers Wayne Freeman and his wife Sue, Danny Freeman and his wife Debbie, Frank Freeman and his wife Anna, Mark Melenkoff, sisters Donna Freeman and Cindy Melenkoff, grandchildren Samantha Guillori, Chelsea and Adrie Francks, Arie Minney, Jimmy Freeman and Bobby Birchenough along with several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews, his first boss Gene Ploss and many other dear friends.
Tiny was born June 3, 1952 in Worcester, son of Shirley (Whitney) and George Freeman. He was raised by his grandparents James and Lillian Whitney. Tiny began working at Lake Ripple Garage in Grafton at age 16 and remained there for many, many years.
This began his life-long joy of working in the garage and with heavy equipment. He also worked at Worcester Sand & Gravel, Danserau, Larry Bourget and the Baldarelli brothers. Tiny also plowed snow in the winter for many years. He also loved building Lego sets, particularly with his grandsons Jimmy and Bobby.
Always hard at work, people who knew Tiny will likely remember him at the garage, in a wrecker, or behind the wheel plowing snow. He will be greatly missed.
Memorial donations to a trust for his family honoring Tiny may be sent to the James Freeman Memorial Fund c/o TD Bank 500 Grafton St. Worcester MA 01604. His family is requesting no floral arrangements be sent due to an allergy of a member of his family.
All are invited to calling hours for Tiny Sunday April 15 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St. North Grafton. Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of his family.
