Grafton Community Television Hosts October 21st State Ballot Question Forum

GCTV will host a discussion forum highlighting the four state ballot questions

GRAFTON: Grafton Community Television will host a discussion forum highlighting the four state ballot questions at November's Massachusetts election . "Grafton Update with Jim Gallagher - The Massachusetts Ballot Question Forum" will be held at 8:00 PM on Friday, October 21st in Conference Room A at the Grafton Municipal Center. Guests will be State Senator Michael Moore and State Representative David Muradian, who will discuss the impact of this year's four ballot initiatives. A studio audience will be invited to participate by asking their questions as time permits.

The forum will be broadcast live on GCTV - Charter Channel 191 / Verizon Channel 34 and will also be streamed live on GCTV's Video on Demand system, http://graftontv.org/current/VoD.html

The ballot questions are as follows:

Question 1 would allow the Gaming Commission to issue an additional slots license.

Question 2 would authorize the approval of up to 12 new charter schools or enrollment expansions in existing charter schools by the state Board of Elementary and Secondary Education per year.

Question 3 would prohibit certain methods of farm animal containment.

Question 4 would legalize recreational marijuana for individuals at least 21 years old.

This program marks the fourth decade that "Grafton Update with Jim Gallagher" has appeared on Grafton Community Television since GCTV first began public access broadcasts in Grafton.

Grafton Community Television provides programming on three distinct public access channels in the Town of Grafton over the Charter Communications and the Verizon cable systems. Charter Channel 191 / Verizon Channel 34 provides general interest programming, Charter Channel 192 / Verizon Channel 33 broadcasts town government programming, and Charter Channel 194 / Verizon Channel 32 features school programming and high school sports events. The GCTV studios and offices are located at 296 Providence Road in South Grafton.
