Grafton Doc Charged With Taking Pics of Woman in Ladies Room at UMass

A Grafton doctor at UMass Medical School is facing charges that he allegedly snapped pics of a woman in a stall in the ladies room.

A Grafton doctor at UMass Medical School is arguing that he he wasn’t paying attention and wandered accidentally into a ladies room at the hospital.

Dr. Marcus Cooper is facing criminal charges, accused by a woman of entering the ladies room in the Albert Sherman Center and snapping photos of her with her pants down in the stall, reports the Telegram and Gazette.

The 26-year-old medical student alleges that she heard a noise, saw a shadow in front of the store, and spotted a hand a the top of the stall, with the lens pointed down at her.

Dr. Cooper, reported the Telegram, told police he was in the bathroom by accident, and that the victim implied racial overtones.

The victim, a medical student, told police that she asked for Cooper’s phone to see if there were photos of her on it, reported WHDH-TV, and chased him away. He allegedly told her, “you have no idea who I am.” The incident happened on Sept. 1.

Cooper, 46, was charged with photographing an unsuspecting nude person and disorderly conduct.

According to WHDH-TV, Cooper was placed on administrative leave and will be formally charged in December.
