State law allows registered voters to vote by absentee ballot if they are absent from town during normal polling hours, among other things.

GRAFTON, MA — Grafton is making sure all residents are prepared to vote in the primary election and is urging anyone who may need an absentee ballot to get one before March 3.
State law allows registered voters to vote by absentee ballot if they are absent from town during normal polling hours, physically disabled preventing the voter from going to the polling place or unable to come to the polls due to a religious belief.
Voters who qualify due to one of the above reasons can apply for an absentee ballot for the March 3rd Presidential Primary Election no later than twelve o’clock on Monday, March 2nd. Applications are available at the Town Clerk's Office, Municipal Center, 30 Providence Road during regular office hours.
