Grafton High School Welcomes New Assistant Principal

GRAFTON, MA — Grafton High School is welcoming an experienced math educator to its administrative team.

Heather Russo has joined the school as an assistant principal after spending the past eight years as Marlborough Public Schools’ math supervisor, where she focused on curriculum, instruction and professional development.

Russo began her career teaching math at Marlborough High School, where she also served as the Student Council adviser.

Russo said her priorities include equitable access to high-quality instruction, meaningful academic discussions and opportunities for students to work through challenging material.

“As your Assistant Principal, I will build strong relationships with students, teachers, and families to uphold the values of GPS and help all students reach their potential as life-long learners and responsible citizens,” Russo said in her introduction.

Russo lives in Mendon with her husband and their two children. Outside work, she said she enjoys visiting playgrounds with her family, baking, traveling and watching reality television.
