Grafton Honored With Budget Presentation Award For Third Year

GRAFTON, MA — For the third time in a row, Grafton was honored with the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award. The award represents the town's commitment to the budgeting process.

To qualify for the award, a town must meet nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation. The guidelines asses how well the town budget serves as:

• A policy document
• A financial plan
• An operations guide
• A communications device

After receiving the award the town wrote in a statement, "The receipt of this award is a testament to the town's commitment to transparency and prudent fiscal management by the Select Board and Town administration."
