Grafton, It's Awesome That You're Recycling, But Stop Overfilling the Bins

Keep up the good work. But when you overfill the bins, trash blows all of the streets, defeating the purpose.

GRAFTON, MA—Grafton's DPW sent out a big thank you to residents for "doing a great job" with recycling, along with the bins provided by EL Harvey.

While the recycling program has been successful, it has created one problem: overfilled bins.

"We are receiving complaints – especially during weather events - that over filled recycling bins allow paper and plastic to litter our streets," said Grafton officials in an announcement.

These lids must be closed completely to keep the neighborhoods clean of litter. So, moving forward, the DPW will be tagging overloaded bins.

If you need a second bin, one can be purchased by calling EL Harvey at 800-321-3002.
