Grafton TV Spring Producers Class Set To Begin March 9th
GRAFTON: Grafton Community Television and Charter Communications will hold a Spring 2015 Television Video Producers Course. The eight week course starts on Monday, March 9th and will run on consecutive Monday evenings from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The classes are held at the Grafton Community Television studios at 296 Providence Road in South Grafton.The GCTV television production course is available at no charge to Grafton residents, town employees and local business owners who are 18 years of age or older, regardless of whether or not they are cable television subscribers.According to Kris McMullin, “We are looking forward to gaining more Producers for our Public Access channel. We are specifically interested in those who may have their own ideas for new shows, and can network with current producers to help make their shows a reality. In order to be certified as an access producer, students will be required to create a Class Project and crew an existing shoot.”The Spring 2015 Television Production course will offer training and certification to become a producer for Grafton Public Access. Students enrolled in the course will learn about the role and policies of Public Access in Grafton, as well as how to use both portable and studio equipment to produce their own shows. Students will also learn various techniques to enhance their productions; such as lighting, audio, and graphics. Training in post production editing will also be included.

Grafton Community Television provides programming on three distinct public access channels in the Town of Grafton over the Charter Communications and the Verizon cable systems. Charter Channel 191 / Verizon Channel 34 provides general interest programming, Charter Channel 192 / Verizon Channel 33 broadcasts town government programming, and Charter Channel 194 / Verizon Channel 32 features school programming and high school sports events. The Grafton Community Television studios and offices are located at 296 Providence Road in South Grafton.
