Heart & Stone Hosts Store's Soft Opening

A small business with a big dream is one step closer. Heart and Stone Jewelry is opening its doors to the public for the first time at their very own store on July 13th. Hours are still to be announced, but will begin with a schedule of 11am-5:30pm Tues – Sat. The new studio is located at 269 West Main Street 3A in  Northborough Corners.
Opening her own store was never on owner, Julie Booras', radar in the early days of Heart and Stone. But as her dream business came to life Julie found that something very important was missing from her internet only jewelry design studio. That missing piece was people. Booras hopes that opening her doors will bring in people to collaborate with and inspire the Heart & Stone collection.
The store will not only house Heart and Stone's workshop and collection, it will showcase a gallery of local artists' work. There is also a designated area for "Precious Metal Parties," with the intentions of offering a "make your own" experience.
There will be many samples of all the different charms laid out for you to try different combinations and examples of all the fonts and layout options. An assortment of natural gems and different chain styles and lengths will be on display as well for your choosing. A Heart & Stone necklace could be as simple as one charm on a chain or many. The ability to add charms over a lifetime makes a Heart and Stone necklace a truly meaningful piece of jewelry that symbolizes the spirit of the wearer.
Julie's ambitious drive and creative ways led her to Kickstarter. Kickstarter was founded in 2009 as a tool to aid the raising of funds for creative projects via crowdsourcing; it bypasses the customary path of investment. The direct support from others helps breathe life into determined, innovative, and imaginative projects. Supporters back projects in exchange for a one-of-a-kind experience, a personal token of thanks, a personalized gift item, or maybe even dinner with the business owner.
Heart and Stone has a goal of $18 thousand dollars, and a timeline of July 15-August 15. Reaching their goal would allow for Heart and Stone to finish it's space in time for a September Grand Opening. Exceeding their Kickstarter goal will allow Heart & Stone to  expand their designs and offerings and bring on additional employees to service the demands for personalized, fine silver jewelry!
