Lions Host Annual Haunted Woods Hayride

Is Lions Woods haunted? If so, it makes for a fun Halloween adventure.

The scary factor is "high," it says on the Mass. Haunted Houses website. Several years ago, when Lake Ripple in Grafton was dredged, the muck was pumped into a storage basin on the hill above Lion's pond. The storage pond let go and that muck flowed into the pond. Since then, some strange things have happened in the Lions Woods, said the Grafton Lions Club.

Are there spirits on the lake?

There certainly will be on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 25 and 26, when the Lions Club hosts its annual Haunted Woods Hayride from 7-10 p.m. each night.
