MASSive Comic Con Returns to Worcester with Top Notch Guests, A-List Comic Creators, Kids Con and More!
MASSive Comic Con announced today that it is bringing together celebrity guests, A-list comic creators, famous cosplayers and more!

MASSive Comic Con announced today that it is bringing together celebrity guests, A-list comic creators, famous cosplayers and more to give comic fans, specifically families with kids, an affordable and unforgettable experience on June 24th and 25th at the DCU Center in Worcester. Celebrity guests include Diamond Dallas Page, recently inducted into the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Hall of Fame and three-time world champion professional wrestler; another WWE Hall of Famer Booker T. Huffman Jr., better known by his ring name Booker T; and actor and musician Chester Rushing, best known for his role of Tommy H. on Netflix’s critically acclaimed series, “Stranger Things.”
“MASSive Comic Con is an amazing value and great experience for comic fans, families with kids and those looking to attend their first comic con,” said Chris Proulx, co-founder of MASSive Comic Con. “At MASSive Comic Con, fans can easily interact with our celebrity guests and comic writers and artists, and participate in the many on-site activities, which are included in their ticket price.”

Families will be able to take advantage of MASSive Comic Con’s policy of free admission for children 10 and under with a paid adult admission. Kids will have the opportunity to participate in their own Kids Con, with programming specifically geared towards them. The Kids Con, operated by Aw Yeah Comics, will be a place where kids can experience the comic convention at their own level. On Sunday, June 25, there will be a Kids Costume Contest.
MASSive Comic Con also features some of the world’s top comic creators including a team of creators who have helped build the Harley Quinn series for DC Comics: Husband and wife team Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner, Frank Tieri, Stephane Roux, Paul Mounts and John Timms.

“The Harley Quinn comic creators will be prominently featured at MASSive Comic Con to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the hit comic series,” said MASSive Comic Con co-founder Chris Proulx. “Our attendees will have lots of opportunities to meet and greet the creators and to find out what goes into making great comics.”
Adding to the fan experience are: movie car appearances by the Massachusetts Ghost Busters, Hero Army cosplayers and the 501st New England (Star Wars characters), exclusive panels, table top gaming, video game tournaments, light saber training classes and a Pirate Scavenger Hunt that enters participants into a raffle to win a treasure chest with great prizes. For attendees who want to continue socializing, there are several after-hours events including an after-party at the DCU Center on Saturday evening from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., hosted by the New England Brethren of Pirates and “Drink and Draw” featuring many of the show’s comic creators.

Sunday, June 25 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Celebrity Guest Background:
Diamond Dallas Page is a three-time world champion professional wrestler. He was called “The People’s Champion,” a competitor whose positive energy and sympathetic persona made him enduringly popular. Today, Diamond Dallas Page brings the same enthusiasm to his work as an entrepreneur, health/fitness advocate, actor, producer, radio personality, author and inspirational speaker.
Booker T. Huffman Jr., better known by his ring name Booker T, is an American retired professional wrestler and promoter, signed with WWE. He is also the owner and founder of the independent promotion Reality of Wrestling (ROW) in Texas City, Texas. Booker is best known for his time in World Championship Wrestling (WCW), the World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment (WWF/E), and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), holding 35 championships between those organizations. He is the most decorated wrestler in WCW history, having held 21 titles including a record six WCW World Television Championships (along with being the first African American titleholder, and a record eleven WCW World Tag Team Championships: ten as one half of Harlem Heat with his brother, Lash “Stevie Ray” Huffman in WCW, and one in the WWF with Test. Booker was the final WCW World Heavyweight Champion and WCW United States Heavyweight Champion under the WCW banner.
Chester Rushing is an actor and musician best known for his role of Tommy H. on Netflix critically acclaimed series, Stranger Things. His work spans such films as, Logan, Cold Moon, My Father Die, The Duel, Don’t Look in the Basement 2, and Believe Me. Chester has also appeared on the hit shows NCIS: New Orleans and South of Hell. When Chester is not filming, he tours with his band Chester Rushing performing hits from his album, “Halfway Across the Stars”, produced by Ryan Greene. His original music has been remixed by several DJs across the globe including the hit single, “Paint the World”, which reached #2 on the Italian EDM charts.
