Memorials Salute Town's War Heroes
Grafton pays proud tribute to its lost soldiers.
Grafton is a town known for its rich, historical past.
This is especially true with Memorial Day rolling around the corner, a day when Grafton will reflect on its fellow residents who lost their lives fighting for this country.
Many people in Grafton are proud of the memorials in town because they commemorate the veterans that died at war.

“These people died to serve our country so we can be free,” said Ann Morgan, assistant town planner.
The memorials are maintained by the Trustees of Soldiers & Sailors Memorials. Organizations such as the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Cemetery Department plant flags and flowers at each of the memorials on Memorial Day.

World War I – Three Locations
Sampson Square, South Grafton at the intersection of Main Street and Elmwood Street
Grafton Common, Grafton Center in the grassy island at top of Millbury Street
Quinsigamond Corner, North Grafton – at the intersection of North Main Street (Route 140) and Worcester Street (Route 122).
Korean War
Grafton Common, Grafton Center – on grassy island in front of the Congregational Church (see map)
Vietnam War
Grafton Common, Grafton Center, on grassy island in front of the Congregational Church (see map)
Mitchell Wenc Memorial
Wenc Square, South Grafton, at intersection of Elmwood and Main streets.
Private Walter Ermack Memorial Bridge
Depot Street, South Grafton
Veterans Memorial Hall
This houses the roll call of all those from Grafton who served in all wars. It is located at Grafton Memorial Municipal Center.
