Multi-Alarm Grafton Fire Breaks Out Sunday

Two pets reportedly died in a fire at a farmhouse on Worcester Street.

GRAFTON, MA – A multi-alarm fire broke out at a farmhouse in Grafton Sunday morning. Officials said the fire was first reported at 147 Worcester St. around 11 a.m., according to the Worcester Telegram. Fire crews from several area communities helped bring the blaze under control.

No one was home at the time, but a dog and a cat died in the fire, Grafton Fire Chief Michael Gauthier told the Telegram. Two other cats were inside when the fire started.

At its peak, the fire reached three alarms, the Telegram reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
