Search and Rescue Dogs: Veterinarians, the Rise of the Working Dog, and the Human-Animal Bond

GRAFTON, MA — Now, more than ever, dogs are joining emergency and public safety personnel as part of their task force.

To explore this phenomenon, Tufts University is hosting "Search and Rescue Dogs: Veterinarians, the Rise of the Working Dog, and the Human-Animal Bond."

Presented by Lori E. Gordon, DVM, Urban Search and Rescue, Massachusetts Task Force One and owner of Veterinary Surgical Care, the lecture is part of the spring 2016 Animal Matters Seminar Series presented by the Center for Animals and Public Policy.

The event takes place on Thursday, April 14, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Varis Lecture Hall at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, Grafton.
