Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Grafton Until 4 p.m.

Much of the state, including Grafton, is under a severe thunderstorm watch on Tuesday until 4 p.m.

Heavy downpours, winds with gusts up to 70 miles per hour and frequent lightning is expected with these storms.

The main risk with any strong to severe thunderstorm will be isolated, damaging wind gusts and hail the size of quarters. Dangerous cloud to ground lightning and locally heavy rainfall may result in poor drainage street flooding.

The National Weather Service reminds residents when you hear thunder, you are close enough to get struck by lightning and should seek an inside shelter immediately.
