Teachers Take Shot at Creating Flash Mob

They will have a long, long way to run to match the energy and enthusiasm on display last night.

The firstfaculty basketball game was a smash.

And a bit of a flash.

Early in the first half, the routine basketball action was interrupted by a hip version of "Do Re Mi'' on the PA system. 

The players suddenly stopped passing and began dancing.

Soon they were joined by fellow GES staffers who ran onto the floor at varying intervals from all over the gym.

The flash mob's routine, which drew rousing applause, was part of a high-energy evening.

The game  was held at the l gym, drew a sold-out crowd.

Groups of teachers showed their athletic prowess, and their enthusiasm, as they ran up and down the court, cheered on by their students.

In the end, the winner was the Grafton Elementary School Parent Teacher Group, which sponsored the event.Proceeds will help fund programs and items to support the school.
