The house is uninhabitable after a mid-afternoon blaze Thursday.
A duplex at 181 Main St. is uninhabitable after being hit by a second-floor blaze this afternoon.
The and area agencies are at the scene of the fire, which was reported shortly before 2 p.m., according to Fire Chief Michael E. Gauthier.
The chief said one resident was in the house at the time of the fire, and was being evaluated by emergency responders. No one was seriously injured.

“We received the call and on arrival, saw heavy smoke coming from the second floor,” Gauthier said. “We called for a second alarm, and a few minutes later, a third.”
The fire was knocked down before 2:20 p.m. Firefighters from Millbury, Upton, Sutton and Northbridge assisted.

The State Fire Marshal’s office was called, and the cause of the fire is being investigated. Damage extended to the entire house, which the residents will not be able to return to tonight, the chief said.
