GRAFTON: For the first time, Grafton Community Television will broadcast the Finance Committee’s town budget review meetings. The budget meetings are held each yearon consecutive Saturday mornings at the Grafton Municipal Center. The broadcast tapes have been bundled into convenient segments for playback on GCTV’s Video on Demand system,http://graftontv.org/current/VoD.html and on Grafton’s Government Channel, Charter Channel 192 / Verizon Channel 33.

According to Kris McMullin, public access coordinator for Grafton Community Television, “We received a request from the Finance Committee to televise their budget hearings. Typically these meetings are some 10 to 12 hours of deliberations over two days. Our Video on Demand capabilities offer us the opportunity to bundle this broadcast into more manageable packages, approximately 2.5 hours in length, so that residents can choose only those budget topics they are interested in.”
Grafton Community Television provides programming on three distinct public access channels in the Town of Grafton over the Charter Communications and the Verizon cable systems. Charter Channel 191 / Verizon Channel 34 provides general interest programming, Charter Channel 192 / Verizon Channel 33 broadcasts town government programming, and Charter Channel 194 / Verizon Channel 32 features school programming and high school sports events. The Grafton Community Television studios and offices are located at 296 Providence Road in South Grafton.
