While the Town of Grafton is not in the immediate path of the storm, heavy rain, and winds as high as 30 MPH are expected on Sunday and Monday. High winds have the potential to snap branches or trees, damage buildings, or cause power outages. The Town has undertaken storm readiness activities to help decrease street flooding, and we have prepared equipment for deployment in case a response is required.

Residents are encouraged to prepare for the impending weather by ensuring all outdoor items such as trash cans, tables, chairs, grills, etc., are properly secured to avoid being moved by the wind. Be sure to have batteries for flashlights to use in the event of a power outage, keep your cellphone and all devices charged, and clear any gutters or nearby storm drains to help avoid flooding. The Grafton Police Department encourages all residents to avoid traveling and to stay indoors as much as possible during the storm.
