The public hearing hosted by the Select Board to obtain input regarding the Grafton and Upton Railroad (GURR) will be held in a fully remote manner. The zoom link and access information has been posted on the September 9th meeting agenda and can be found by clicking here.

The public hearing will start at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 9, with all participants providing input via Zoom. This input will be summarized and provided to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for consideration in the pre-filing settlement negotiation with the GURR to resolve alleged violations of the Clean Air Act’s chemical accident prevention regulations at the company’s propane terminal in North Grafton.

The purpose of this hearing is to provide an opportunity for public comment, anyone wishing to attend will be permitted. The Board will also accept written comment if it is brought to the meeting by a resident of the Town.
