Here are some things to do with the kids this weekend.

We've assembled a weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities to try out.

Each week, we give you the info on the five best family activities or events, both locally and within reasonable striking distance.

FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK

  

Where/When: Starts Saturday at 9am at the .

Why Go: Track wildlife on a guided walk through Grafton Land Trust property with wildlife tracker, teacher and naturalist Paul Wanta of Wendall Depot. To register, e-mail info@graftonland.org

Pricing: Free for Grafton Land Trust members; $5 for non-members/families.

Where/When: . Sunday, 4pm to 5:30pm.

Why Go: This concert showcases the acoustic and vocal talents of Apple Tree Arts  faculty, staff and friends.

Pricing: $12 for adults; $5 for students and children, family cap of $20.

Where/When: , 11 Beaver St, Milford. Saturday and Sunday, 9am to 4pm.

Why Go: Watch Tonkinese cats "glide across the floors and do amazing acrobatics" while they compete in an all-breed cat show.

Pricing: $6 for adults and $4 for children under 12.

Where/When: Southwest Rec Center, 38 Southwest Cutoff, Northborough. Friday, 5pm to 9pm. Also, on March 11 and March 25.

Why Go: Drop the kids off and let them have fun while you enjoy an evening out. The PJ Party includes craft-making, games, movies and pizza. Dress them in their pajamas and pack a pillow and sleeping bag or blanket for extra comfort. Staffed by Northborough Recreation staff. For children ages 5-10.

Pricing: $25.

Where/When: DCU Center, 50 Foster St, Worcester. Saturday, 11am to 6pm.

Why Go: Free admission to skate on teh same rink where the Worcester Sharks compete, courtesy of Digital Federal Credit Union (DCU).

Pricing: Free admission; limited rental skates available on site at $2 per pair of skates.
