Two Grafton Students Score High at Equestrian National Finals

The students are members of Grafton's Hillside Meadows Equestrian Center team.

Two Grafton students scored high at the recent national equestrian championships.

Monika Ernenwein placed fourth in the nation in the High School Varsity Open Reining-Individual competition at the Interscholastic Equestrian Association National Finals, held June 27 to June 29 at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City, Okla., officials from Grafton's Hillside Meadows Equestrian Center said Friday in a press release. Ernenwein earned a $500 scholarship.

Cara SanFratello, meanwhile, placed tenth in the Middle School Future Immediate Horsemanship-Individual competition.

Ernenwein and SanFratello are members of Hillside Meadows' Interscholastic Equestrian Association team, coached by Amber Woodruff.
