Worcester County's Ricky Duran To Appear On 'The Voice'

The Grafton native will be on Monday night's blind audition episode.

GRAFTON, MA —A star is in Worcester County's midst and will soon appear on TV screens — Ricky Duran will perform on NBC's "The Voice" on Monday night. Duran is a Grafton native and auditioned for the show earlier in the year.

Duran will appear on Monday night's blind audition episode, airing at 8 p.m. Duran is a singer-songwriter and guitarist who's well known in Worcester as a performer. Although he moved from Worcester to Austin, Texas, he performed in the city for years at venues like Atlantic Poke, Michael’s Cigar Bar and Ralph's Diner.

Duran is a Berklee College of Music graduate and has several songs on Spotify and iTunes.

This is the 17th season of "The Voice" and features four celebrity coaches — this year's coaches include Gwen Stefani, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Blake Shelton. Each judge creates a team of singers who will battle it out until the finale until one is crowned the winner.
