Worcester Music Academy to Host Fall Open House on Saturday, September 26
Don't miss it! Our Fall Open House & Fifth Anniversary Kick-Off Event takes place from 10am-3pm.
Many activities are planned for this fun-filled, musical day that also marks the beginning of a year-long celebration of the Worcester Music Academy’s fifth anniversary.
“It has been an incredible journey for me, the faculty, and the school these last few years,” said Sarah Kelly, academy founder and executive director. “This anniversary kick-off event is a tribute to my amazing faculty of dedicated and passionate teachers, fabulous students and families, and my incredibly supportive family and friends. Plus, the open house is an ideal way to learn more about how we can bring music into your life whether you want to take lessons just for fun or study music seriously.”
In addition to student and teacher “mini-concert” performances at the autumn open house, instrument demonstrations, and tours of the school’s new studio spaces, visitors can meet the faculty, learn more about 2015-2016 music programs, and register for lessons and classes. Also, the $40 annual registration fee is waived for new students signing up for lessons during the open house.

Rounding out the musical revelry is the popular “instrument petting zoo” that lets budding musicians get familiar with all the instruments for which lessons are offered at the music academy—and there are plenty of options available.
The Worcester Music Academy, which recently moved to larger studio space at 9 Irving Street in Worcester, is planning several events throughout the upcoming year to celebrate its fifth anniversary and to get the community involved in sharing the school’s success.

“We’ve had tremendous growth over the last five years and it’s in part because of the quality of the education we provide and the types of programs we offer,” Kelly says. Faculty and student public performances being planned include violin and flute recitals, several holiday concerts, and a spring gala on March 20, 2016.
