Worcester SafePlace: Support Group for Survivors of Suicide Loss
Samaritans' peer support group for those who have lost a loved one to suicide will be meeting this evening at The Bridge.
The Worcester SafePlace group will be meeting this evening, August 18, from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at The Bridge. SafePlace is an open group for people who have lost a loved one to suicide. It provides an atmosphere of acceptance for exploring feelings that are often not understood by others. These meetings are free, on-going, and drop in – there is no registration necessary. Trained volunteers and staff from Samaritans, a statewide suicide prevention organization, facilitate this group. All of the participants are suicide survivors and facilitators have lost someone to suicide as well.
The Worcester SafePlace group meets on the first and third Tuesday of every month from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at The Bridge located 4 Mann Street, Worcester, MA 01602.
