The Generals boys tennis team will play in the Div. 3 North semifinals at home on Wednesday afternoon.

After a big 3-2 win over Austin Preparatory School in the Div. 3 North quarterfinals on Tuesday, the Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School boys tennis team will return to the Pingree Park courts again on Wednesday.

That's when the team will meet the No. 8 ranked team from Bedford High School (13-7), which swept the Generals' Cape Ann League rival No. 1 ranked Manchester-Essex Regional High School 5-0 in another quarterfinal match on Monday.

On Tuesday the No. 4 Generals (11-3) started out with wins from Woody Watson at No. 1 singles and Frankie Bucco and Jack Hopkins at No. doubles, 6-2, 6-1.

They went down 4-0 in the second set, before coming back to 4-3, then lost the next game and faced elimination at 5-3. But they battled back to win the third set 7-5 to earn the 3-2 win for the Generals.
