Hamilton Police Seek Help 'Suspicious' Man, Urge Residents To Lock Cars

Police said the man ran away when they tried to engage him at about 2 a.m. on Thursday morning.

HAMILTON, MA — Hamilton police are seeking the public's help in identifying what they called a "suspicious" man who ran away when they tried to talk with him early Thursday morning.

Police said they came across the man at about 1:45 a.m. on Asbury Street in the area of Christ Church.

They said that when they tried to talk to him, he ran away. They then searched the area and were unable to find him.

He was wearing dark colored clothing and a backpack.

Police are seeking help from residents who live in the downtown area to check their homes' exterior cameras between the hours of 1:45 a.m. and 2:10 a.m.

"We would like to remind all residents to securely lock their homes and vehicles," he said.

Residents are encouraged to report anything out of the ordinary to the police.
