Big East's Most Improved Hoops Player is Hamilton Native
A former Regional basketball player was named the Big East's most improved player for the 2012-13 basketball season.

The Big East's Most Imrpoved Player award went to Michael Carter-Williams on Monday.
The Syracuse University guard shared the award with Kadeem Batts of Providence College, reports The Post-Standard of Syracuse.
Carter-Williams is a Hamilton native who played his freshman year of basketball at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School. He later transferred to St. Andrew's in Rhode Island.

Carter-Williams was also named to the All-Big East second team on Sunday, reports the paper.
Both the All-Big East team and the Most Improved Player Award are determined by a vote of the league's coaches, who are not allowed to vote for their own players, reports The Post-Standard.
