BoSoma Dance Company Presents: Summer Season at Windhover

Event Details

Windhover Performing Arts Center, 257R Granite St, Rockport, MA, 01966

BoSoma Dance Company (BDC) is thrilled to present their Summer Season at Windhover, an evening of powerful contemporary dance led by Artistic Director Katherine Hooper, kicking off the company’s 23rd Annual Season. Set in the beautiful, serene, and intimate outdoor setting of Windhover, the program showcases dynamic choreography that celebrates movement, artistry, and connection.

This one-hour performance features highlights from the past season alongside new works by Jessica-Rose White and Chantal Kelleher, created for the Fall 2026 production at the Cabot Theatre in Beverly. The evening also welcomes back guest choreographer Tony Tucker, presenting his latest work, Freakquency, exploring rhythm, transformation, and personal evolution. The program includes excerpts from White’s Under Pressure, a high-energy reflection on 1980s cultural tension set to Queen, and Kelleher’s Salad Days, which captures themes of self-discovery and individuality inspired by the 2010s. The performance also features audience favorites Pathos and Power by Artistic Director Katherine Hooper, known for her emotionally driven, dynamic choreography.

BDC is also excited to welcome back guest company BoSoma Youth Company, showcasing the next generation of emerging dancers. BDC’s Summer Season at Windhover promises an evening of bold movement, evocative storytelling, and the vibrant energy that has defined BoSoma Dance Company for over two decades.

The performances take place at the Windhover Center of the Performing Arts on Thursday, August 27th at 7pm. Tickets are $25-$35 and are on sale now at https://windhover.org/event/bosoma-dance-companywindhover-outdoor-stage/.
