Generals Little Leaguers Knock Off Undefeated Danvers American
The Hamilton-Wenham Little League Williamsport team next plays Beverly on Tuesday evening.

The Hamilton-Wenham Little League Williamsport team defeated the Danvers team in thrilling fashion 2-1 on Sunday as they continue the winning ways in the District 15 tournament.
Hamilton-Wenham scored its two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, starting with Pierson Tocci reaching base on a two strike single up the middle. Nick Glovsky came in to pinch run and he ended up stealing two bases.
Paul Horgan got Glovsky across the plate with a sacrifice play to tie the game.

Cam Peach then doubled and advanced to third on a two strike sacrifice bunt by Adam Parady.
Peach then scored on a passed ball while Jack Cronin was at bat, giving the Generals a 2-1 lead.

Will Jones made two infield put outs in the top of the final inning and Phil Durgin then struck out the final batter on three pitches.
Durgin pitched a complete game, allowing just one hit, and the Generals allowed no errors.
Hamilton-Wenham now plays Beverly on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Harry Ball field in Beverly in the winner bracket of the District 15 tournament.
