Jennifer Katelyn Maio, beloved daughter and sister

Visiting hours to be held on Friday and Services on Saturday.

Jennifer Katelyn Maio, 8, beloved daughter of Steven J. and Sandy (Simon) Maio, passed away on Thursday, October 15th at Children’s Hospital in Boston after complications from acute onset Leukemia.

Jennifer was a third grade student in Mrs. Orlando’s class at the Buker Elementary School in Wenham. She loved giving and receiving hugs, making people laugh with her vivacious sense of humor, brought joy to everyone she met and was full of fun and mischief. She was a child of God and an active member in Clifton Lutheran Church where she recently received her first communion. Among her many talents, she enjoyed skiing, playing soccer and lacrosse and was an exceptional piano student.

She adored her older brother Christopher. Not only were they brother and sister, they were good friends and completely inseparable. This is evident through their shared love of music performing their first duet last Christmas. Christopher loved exposing her to new things, was protective of her and took great pride in Jennifer’s accomplishments.
