UMass Dartmouth Graduate Student Marcille Holden from Hamilton Earns Degree
NORTH DARTMOUTH -- Marcille Holden from Hamilton received a Juris Doctor degree at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth graduate commencement on May 11. An estimated 462 graduate students received master's and doctoral degrees.
The Hon. Phillip Rapoza, Chief Justice of Massachusetts Court of Appeals, delivered the graduate address and received an honorary Doctor of Law.

Shawn O'Keefe Inducted into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi
BATON ROUGE, LA -- The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is pleased to announce that Shawn O'Keefe of Hamilton was recently initiated into Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. O'Keefe is pursuing a degree in Biology at Florida Southern College.

O'Keefe is among approximately 32,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors, having at least 72 semester hours, are eligible for membership.
University of New Haven Student Dorothy Brennick of Hamilton has Artwork in Senior Art and Design Exhibition
WEST HAVEN, Conn. -- The Senior Art & Design Exhibition at the University of New Haven will feature work from Dorothy Brennick, a resident of Hamilton majoring in Interior Design. The exhibition entitled, Not From Concentrate, opened on May 2 at West Cove Studio in West Haven, Conn.
Several students from the fine arts, graphic design, and interior design disciplines in the UNH Department of Art and Design have featured work that includes two and three dimensional pieces along with digital media covering a broad spectrum of the art and design disciplines.
Mckenzie E. Love of Wenham Elected to Phi Beta Kappa at Colby College
WATERVILLE, Maine -- Mckenzie E. Love of Wenham, a senior at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, was elected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa this spring. Membership in the society is one of the highest academic honors an undergraduate student can achieve.
Love, who is majoring in English and history, was one of 48 students to be inducted into Phi Beta Kappa at Colby. A graduate of Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School, she is the daughter of William and Susan Love of Wenham.
The Phi Beta Kappa society, founded in 1776, restricts its chapters to leading colleges and universities. The Beta Chapter of Maine was organized at Colby in 1895.
Kassandra Martin of Hamilton Named Presidential Scholar at Merrimack College
NORTH ANDOVER -- Kassandra Martin of Hamilton was recently recognized as a Presidential Scholar at the annual Honors Convocation held at Merrimack College in North Andover. The Presidential Scholar designation is awarded to those graduating students who have achieved a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average, based on a 4.0 grading system.
Kassandra is majoring in Communication Studies.
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Dean's List
TROY, N.Y. -- Students have been named to the Dean's list at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for the Fall 2012 semester. The dean's list recognizes full-time students who maintain grade-point averages of a minimum of 3.0 out of a possible 4.0 and have no grades below "C."

Local Residents Named to Dean's List at the Savannah College of Art and Design
SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Local residents have been named to the Dean's List at the Savannah College of Art and Design for fall quarter 2012. Full-time undergraduate students who earn a grade point average of 3.5 or above for the quarter receive recognition on the Dean's List.

Zachary Massos Makes Dean's List at RIT
ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Zachary Massos of Hamilton, a second-year student in RIT's College of Imaging Arts and Sciences, made the Dean's List for the Winter 2013 quarter.
