Professional Development Day Postponed, Students Will Attend Class Monday
With all these snow days, some are wondering what the impact will be on when students will be out of school for summer vacation.

With all the snow and subsequent snow days we’ve had this winter, many have been asking how the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District will handle the needed make-up days.
One way is coming up next week.
Superintendent Michael Harvey announced in his recent blog post that a Monday, March 9 Professional Development Day will be rescheduled and students will instead attend classes that day.

“The primary motivation behind this change is to allow teachers to continue to build momentum in instruction after the fractured month of February we’ve had,” he writes. “With the cancellations and scheduled vacation week, we will actually have had school for only 11 days [the] entire month.”
Assuming no further snow days, this change means the final day of classes for students will be Tuesday, June 23.
