Snow Pushed Back on 70 Percent of Hamilton's Roads

The Town of Hamilton posted a recent snow removal update.

It’s been an epic winter in Hamilton, but snow removal crews are making headway against the mammoth snow fall totals.

According to a snow removal update posted on the town’s website, crews had pushed back the snow piles on about 70 percent of Hamilton roadways as of Monday, March 3.

“The Town crews are continuing their efforts along with hired contractors to move the snow banks off the roadways and we acknowledge and appreciate the residents understanding as snow is piled higher in areas, and driveway ends have some snow debris pushed back into them,” the update reads.

The town hired additional private contractors throughout the past 10 days to continue the widening of roads and uncovering of storm drains in anticipation of snow melt. The National Guard also served for a half-day in town assisting with shoveling out fire hydrants.

“With the successive weekends of significant snowstorms, the Town appreciates the residents’ patience and understanding.”
