Whitman-Hanson Girl Scouts Bring Cookie Season to the Community

Cookie season is officially underway in Whitman and Hanson, and local Girl Scout troops are inviting the community to stop by, stock up, and show their support. Throughout January, several Girl Scout Cookie booths will pop up at familiar neighborhood locations, offering residents a chance to purchase their favorite cookies while supporting programs that help girls grow into confident leaders.

On Saturday, January 17, two troops will be out in the community. Troop 82684 will host a booth at Bostonian Barber in Whitman from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., while Troop 70714 will be set up at the Nathaniel Thomas Mill in Hanson from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Both booths provide an easy way for families and neighbors to connect with local Scouts and support their goals.

The cookie booths continue on Sunday, January 18, when Troop 77422 will be at Rockland Trust Bank in Hanson from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. In addition to selling cookies, this troop will also be collecting donations of pet supplies for cats and dogs of all ages to benefit Furget-Me-Not Pet Rescue, giving the community an opportunity to support both Girl Scouts and local animals in need.

The final booth takes place on Saturday, January 24, when Troop 84552 returns to the Nathaniel Thomas Mill in Hanson from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Cookie sales help fund troop activities, community service projects, and leadership opportunities that teach girls important skills such as goal setting, teamwork, and financial literacy. Community members are encouraged to stop by a booth, enjoy a box or two of cookies, and help Whitman-Hanson Girl Scouts continue building confidence, courage, and character—one cookie at a time.
