Whitman-Hanson Girl Scouts Celebrate Global Friendship at World Thinking Day Event

WHITMAN — Girl Scouts from across the Whitman-Hanson Service Unit gathered today to celebrate World Thinking Day, a long-standing global tradition that connects Girl Scouts and Girl Guides in more than 150 countries.

Observed annually, World Thinking Day encourages girls to learn about different cultures, reflect on global issues, and recognize the power of international friendship. This year’s theme, “Our Friendship,” held special significance as it marked 100 years of the tradition.

Throughout the event, local scouts participated in hands-on activities designed to highlight countries from around the world, giving them the opportunity to explore global traditions, customs, and perspectives. The day was filled with learning, collaboration, and a shared sense of connection that extended far beyond their local community.
