61st Annual Arts Festival - Call for Entries

South Shore Art Center will present both Juried and Members’ Art Exhibitions June 17–19 during the 61st Annual Arts Festival on Cohasset Common. The juried exhibition will be selected in May by Erin Carey, Photographer and Academic Director of the New England School of Photography; Timothy Kadish, Artist; and Almitra Stanley, Gallery Director at Boston Sculptors Gallery.

The Juried exhibition is open to all artists—the work must be original, completed within the last three years, and not previously exhibited at South Shore Art Center or at prior SSAC Arts Festivals. Media categories in the juried exhibition include oil and acrylic, drawing and pastel, watercolor, printmaking, mixed media/3D, photography and digital media. A $15 fee is payable upon delivery of the artwork. There is no limit to the number of submissions but all submitted work must be for sale. Cash and product awards will be given in each media category, ranging from $300 to $75. Work must be submitted May 7 through May 9.

The Members’ Show is open to all members of South Shore Art Center. Membership must be current through June, 2016 and memberships may be obtained or renewed when work is dropped off. A $15 fee is payable upon delivery of artwork. Cory Shea, Assistant Director at Cambridge Art Association will judge the Members’ and Young Artists’ work. Members and Young Artist artwork must be submitted May 13–15. Young artists may submit one piece at no charge. Prizes will be awarded in both the Members and Young Artist’s shows.
