ATM Robbed Outside Hingham Bagel Shop

Police inspected the ATM's rear service door and saw it was forced open. Wires were cut, as well a hole in the rear of the machine.

HINGHAM, MA — Police are looking for help finding a suspect they said cut open an ATM next to a local bagel shop and stole all the money.

Last Wednesday at 6 a.m., a customer at Bruegger's Bagel on Lincoln Street tried taking money out of the ATM. He inserted his card, but it jammed. The customer then noticed a screwdriver on the ground and called police.

Police inspected the ATM's rear service door and saw it was forced open. Wires were cut, as well a hole in the rear of the machine.

According to police, the break-in happened sometime overnight last Tuesday. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective John Marquardt at 781-741-1443.
