Fire Destroys 3 Boats At Norwell Marina

The damage to the three boats was about $100,000 combined.

NORWELL, MA — Three boats were damaged beyond repair after catching fire at King's Landing Marina Monday.

The fire happened around 12 p.m., but it took firefighters only 15 minutes to douse the flames. Firefighters spent about two hours on scene looking for hot spots.

According to Norwell's Fire Captain David Kean, the damage to the three boats was about $100,000 combined. No injuries were reported.

Boats were pulled out of the water Monday and shrink-wrapped for winter storage, Kean said. Although the cause of the fire is still not known, the fire started shortly after the boats were wrapped.

Bulman Marine LLC , who operates the Marina did not immediately return Patch's request for comment.
