Braintree Man Charged With OUI In Hingham Crash With Serious Injuries
One witness told police that they wrote down the suspect's license plate number because they thought the car may crash.

HINGHAM, MA — A Braintree man faces charges after allegedly causing a car crash that sent two people to the hospital.
Michael Warner, 35, was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol and causing serious injury, negligent operation to endanger, drinking alcohol from an open container inside a motor vehicle, and a marked lanes violation, according to the Hingham Police Log.
At about 2:49 p.m Monday, a caller told police that she heard a crash near the intersection of Button Cove Road. At the scene, police found a crash with multiple cars and were forced to close the nearby rotary.

Hingham Police Sgt. Steven Dearth told the Patriot Ledgerthat one driver was so fearful that Warner's vehicle was going to crash that they wrote down its license plate number. Other drivers told police that the vehicle was unable to stay in its lane.
Two people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Warner was arraigned Tuesday in Hingham District Court and released on personal recognizance. He is due back in court Oct. 17.
