The Company Theatre Presents Free Performing Arts Workshops at ACT Studio One Open House

The Academy of the Company Theatre’s (ACT) Studio One youth and adult small group performing arts programs present ACT Studio One Open House for the fall semester on Sunday, September 11, from 12 noon to 2 pm at The Company Theatre Center for Performing Arts, 30 Accord Park Drive, Norwell. The event is free and open to the public.

ACT Studio One offers voice, acting, movement and music education year-round for youth and adults alike. The ACT Studio One Open House welcomes the public to drop in and meet their staff and faculty, explore free classes for all ages through performing arts workshops, and participate in parent orientation at their beautiful studios. Attendees are welcome to attend any or all workshops, regardless of skill or experience.

12 noon Children’s Voice Workshop

12 noon Acting Workshop

12:30 pm Improv Workshop

1 pm Broadway Dance Levels 1 and 2 Workshop

1:30 pm Meet and Greet with staff and instructors

12 to 2 pm Open Auditions for Children’s Acting 2 and Teen Acting 2

Registration is now open for ACT Studio One youth and adult small group performing arts classes. Classes begin the week of September 12 and run through May 19, 2017. All students have the opportunity to participate in performances and demonstrations at the ACT Studio One Showcase presentation, scheduled for May 19.

ACT Studio One’s mission is to build confidence in the performing arts through ability in a creative, safe and supportive environment, motivating self-expression through progressive training to children, teens and adults. A faculty of established teacher/artists educate, nurture and encourage proper technical development in voice, acting, movement and music, leading students to confident, positive experiences.

Founded in 2013 as an extension of The Academy of The Company Theatre, ACT Studio One programs offer education geared towards refining skills in the arts, giving students a process to guide them towards excellence in performance.
