The Company Theatre Presents She Did All That – Betty Ford: Speaking Out, Saving Lives

New documentary play performance to benefit Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

The Company Theatre presents a benefit performance of She Did All That – Betty Ford: Speaking Out, Saving Lives on Thursday, February 9, 7:30 pm at Company Theatre Center for the Arts, 30 Accord Park Drive, Norwell. A cast of stars from stage, screen and radio perform this one-night event to benefit the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

A new documentary play by South Shore playwright Lisa Rafferty (MOMologues, Finish Line), She Did All That – Betty Ford: Speaking Out, Saving Lives offers one chapter in the life of an extraordinary First Lady, whose courage and candor broke down societal taboos and changed the lives of thousands of women.

The hour-long, staged reading cast includes Joyce Kulhawik, Emmy©-award winning arts and entertainment critic; South Shore film actress Erica McDermott (Manchester by the Sea, Patriots Day); Kennedy Elsey, Mix 104.1 morning radio personality; Sue Brady, CBS Radio; celebrated Boston actress Maryann Zschau; Paula Markowicz of the pop-vocal group Divas with a Twist; popular stage veterans Kevin Fennessy and David Giagrando; and MOMologues playwright and actress Stefanie Cloutier. The production features over twelve roles, using verbatim source material, from President and Mrs. Ford, White House reporters, Morley Safer, Maria von Trapp, Grace Slick and others.

Tickets are $30 for general seating and $50 for VIP seating, which includes a post-show reception with creator Lisa Rafferty and cast members. Proceeds from this performances of She Did All That – Betty Ford: Speaking Out, Saving Lives benefits the Women’s Cancer Center at Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
