The Company Theatre’s Special Events Series Presents Grand Slam Story Slam

The Company Theatre's 2017 Special Events series presents the ultimate story slam experience in Grand Slam Story Slam on Friday, May 5 at 7:30 pm, at The Company Theatre Centre for the Arts, 30 Accord Park Drive, Norwell. The event is co-presented by South Shore Story Slams.

Fashioned after NPR’s popular Moth Radio Hour, story slams bring competitive storytellers together, encouraging them to explore their personal narrative through the craft of public speaking and performance. Each story is limited to 5-minutes in length, making the tales short, snappy and fun! Grand Slam Story Slam features the best of the best from South Shore Story Slams and Doyle’s Café, Jamaica Plain, captivating the audience with their true-life stories, judged by a top-secret celebrity panel. Fourteen storytellers have advanced to this final round, from all walks of life, competing for the grand prize Maine vacation donated by Nicolette Nordin Heavey and Stories in the Streets.

Tickets for Grand Slam Story Slam are $30. Family and Friends Fridays offers the limited quantity purchase of four or more tickets for Friday performances at $25 per ticket by calling or visiting the box office in person only.
