Coronavirus: Hingham Police Want To Be Part Of Parade Parties

Hingham police are offering to be part of social distance car parades for children in town stuck at home on their birthdays.

HINGHAM, MA — Hingham police are working hard during hard protecting the public — and help keeping the public properly socially distanced — during the coronavirus crisis. But when they have the time they want to be part of your birthday parties as well.

For those children who are missing out on parties due to schools closures and socially distancing, Hingham police are offering to do a cruiser drive by with lights flashing and sirens blaring, as part of any party parade.

"We like to party," Hingham police posted on social media. "We know it's hard for little ones celebrating their birthday as we all practice social distancing. If you’re putting together a 'drive-by-birthday parade' or you want us to drive by on their special day we would love to help make their day a little brighter."
