Derby Street Shoppes Announce Two New Stores
Find out what is coming to the Derby Street Shoppes.

The Derby Street Shoppes announced earlier this week the opening of two local favorites, Tobey Grey and Carousel Kids this month. These two stylish brands join Ivivva, David’s Tea, and Setting the Space, along with remodels from White’s Bakery and J.Jill, which all opened in 2015.
- Tobey Grey - A Massachusetts-based retailer, opened on Aug. 17th. Under the direction of owner Steve Simon and daughters Jill and Stacy, Tobey Grey provides the most current, high-end, affordable luxury brands for men and women and offers its own Tobey Grey private brand collection. The store will also feature numerous nationally recognized fashion brands such as A.L.C., AG Jeans, Citizens of Humanity, Clover Canyon, Current Elliot, DL 1961, IRO, Equipment, Feel The Piece, Genetic Denim, Hudson, JBRAND, Joe’s Jeans, JOIE, JOIE Soft, Lisa Freede Design, Mackage, PAIGE, Rag & Bone, Parker, Veda, Vita Feede, and Wilt. They are known for their casual clothing with current styles that can go from day to night, as well as accessories, jewelry and active wear. Tobey Grey is a prominent, contemporary brand known for its quality, affordability and everyday luxury style. The Derby Street store will be their 5th store in the greater Boston area. The contemporary brand offers casual, luxury styles for women and men and will kick off by opening a Preview Store offering 40 – 50% off all summer merchandise. The store is located adjacent to Kate Spade and Miniluxe.
- Carousel Kids - A Massachusetts-based retailer, will open on Thursday, Aug 27 at 10 a.m. Carousel Kids is a multi-brand children’s boutique that specializes in European children’s wear and will open its second location at The Derby Street Shoppes. The Hingham location will offer an extensive collection from Mayoral, the world’s number one brand for children. This line from Spain has affordable timeless looks for boys and girls from newborn to 14 years. Another well-known brand coming to Hingham is France’s 3 Pommes, a trendy and fun collection with an emphasis on sporty street chic. Other brands making its way to Derby Street include Jean Bourget, Catimini, Lili Gaufrette and more. All styles are handpicked for quality and style.
The store will open adjacent to Miniluxe and Lunette Optics. In addition to apparel, Carousel Kids also carries hair accessories, shoes, toys, books, and baby gifts and offers gift wrapping and shipping for a fun and convenient shopping experience.
“The addition of Tobey Grey and Carousel Kids to Derby Street Shoppes is exciting for a couple of reasons”, said Bill Hamilton, General Manager of The Derby Street Shoppes said in a release. “These brands not only bring best in class local operators to the south shore, they will also introduce new product lines to our customers that aren’t present at The Derby Street Shoppes today.”
