Drunk Driver Hit Liquor Store Wall, Caused Mess: Police

Police say Christopher Reily drove into the wall of Queen Anne Liquors.

HINGHAM, MA - A Whitman man drove off the road and into a building's wall, police said.

On May 8 at about 5:14 p.m., the Hingham Police Department received a report of a vehicle that went over the curb on Whiting Street hit Queen Anne Liquors and backed into a spot. While the car did not go into the building, the hit was strong enough to cause damage inside.

The store was closed at the time of the incident and there were no injuries reported.

The driver, Christopher Reily, 29, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle, according to the Hingham Police Log.
