Hingham, MA -- Employees at Linden Ponds are working out ... at work!
People who work at Linden Ponds are using the onsite Fitness Center and are taking Yoga classes at work. And beginning in April, water aerobics will be offered to all employees in the fitness center pool!
Leslie Payne, Occupational Therapy Assistant at Linden Ponds retirement community, thought it would be a great idea to offer Yoga to all employees at Linden Ponds at work.

She ran the idea by Kate Murphy, Director of Human Resources at Linden Ponds and together they decided to offer a free class to all employees. The first class had more than 15 employees attend.
“We are thrilled with the turnout for her classes,” said Murphy. “Leslie is doing an amazing job and is helping everyone in the class. The Fitness Center at Linden Ponds is also free to all staff and we have also offered at different times of year Zumba and Water Aerobics all taught by staff. It’s great employees can come in after work to get in shape and work out together.”

Payne is teaching Gentle Power Yoga for all employees. The classes are one hour every Wednesday.
"This was a dream come true for me", said Payne. "When I was first certified to teach yoga, I would drive by Linden Ponds and imagine someday teaching Yoga here. Now I am an doing it and employees are loving the class! I teach everyone how to stretch and rejuvenate through movement, breath and meditation. I am just so happy to share my love for Yoga with colleagues."
