SouthField and Derby Street Shoppes Host Art Show, Picnic, and Concert

SouthField, New England’s newest master-planned community, and the Derby Street Shoppes are celebrating the summer with Red, White & Brass, an Art Show, Picnic and Performance by the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet.

Guests are invited to bring a lawn chair or blanket and treat their senses to delightful local art and tasty summer fare from local favorites. Food offerings will include oysters and chowder from the Summer Shack, beverages from Peak Organic Brewery, Italian fare from Ecco Trattoria and cool ice cream treats from Cream.

Formerly the South Weymouth Naval Air Station, SouthField will feature 2,855 units of housing and 2 million square feet of commercial and retail space. The plan also includes more than 1,000 acres of neighborhood parks and dedicated open space, a championship golf course, and an indoor/outdoor regional sports and recreation complex. The site is a transit oriented development with direct pedestrian access to the South Weymouth Commuter Rail Station.
